I'm drawn more to the last template only because it seems to capture the journey symbolism you're going for. Photographs are like tangible documentation for things. We take pictures, a lot of the time, to capture a moment or document a feeling (both of which are included in a process) So, naturally for me this is the first thing that comes to mind. Which are you leaning towards more??
p.s. I do like the nature templates you've chosen as well. It brings to mind... roads and paths... err... journeys :)
These are all very nice, and I wonder if there's a way to combine them? Such as a background with photographs, but the photos are all of places you might travel to (or through). I like the current template as well, simply because I like semi-transparent text blocks and the background is appealing to see through them. I just wonder if the dark parts are really "you"? (As we're still getting to know each other in class, I honestly don't know. So it's something to consider as you pick your designs.)
I think all these template can be a journey in your design. However, I think the second one is catching my eye at the first look. It is pop-up your blog so much with the green background, nor the transparent and sepia background. Also, it is so meaningful with the close-up green grass.
